Hayley Jackson.
Movement specialist, FRCMs. FRA, Health and performance coach

My name is Hayley Jackson and I live in Lindfield, West Sussex. I am a certified personal trainer and mobility specialist, training clients for the last 7 years, from my private gym.
I have two young children and a crazy dog whom keep me well and truly on my toes, so the importance of being fit and healthy is of the upmost to me. I changed to a plant-based diet 5 years ago for ethical and health reasons, with noticeable benefits, including gut health and energy levels. I want to make sure I am the healthiest, and strongest mum I can be for my children. But also want to give my clients as much help and advice about nutrition and gut health as possible along their journey with me.

What I can offer you

The first session with me is about assessing your present mobility and to identify your specific problem areas as they relate to functional movement and mobility. This initial assessment will allow me to provide a personalised, detailed training program, addressing these movement deficits, as well as improve your overall joint health and longevity, body control and strength.
Your sessions will be tailored to you and what goals you would like to accomplish, whether that be fitness, strength or just to move better.
Movement and exercise should be fun and enjoyable in order to be sustainable. My sessions are always varied every week so you will never get bored.

What is mobility?

Mobility refers to the amount of usable motion that one possesses across a particular joint. The more mobile a person is, the more they can move safely, efficiently and within their capabilities. If you have healthy joints with more freedom, you then have better movement capacity.
Why is Mobility so important? Because it creates the pre-requisites necessary for ALL other forms of training, so when you focus on improving the function and health of your joints, you are creating better movement patterns for everything else that you do. With the functional range conditioning methods, there are three main training goals utilised when applying these principles: Mobility development, Joint strength (bullet-proofing those joints), and body control (improving the function of your nervous system – leading to a reduction of pain and injury, joint health and longevity).
Strength is another extremely important part of your overall health and fitness program. Incorporating this with mobility, increases muscle mass, stronger bones (vital as we get older), joint flexibility and weight management.
I train all my clients based on decisions made from their assessment, rather than just traditional exercises.
